THE FREEDOM EXCHANGE & WELLNESS CENTER

Offers all of its services completely free of charge. From mental health support and wellness workshops to community exchange programs and essential resources, our mission is to ensure that every individual—regardless of income—has access to healing, empowerment, and opportunity.

Here, freedom means removing financial barriers so that wellness and community support are accessible to all ages, races, genders, and sexualities. The Freedom Exchange stands apart from traditional community centers because we prioritize healing over recreation.

While most Community centers offer basic services like summer camps or fitness activities, the Freedom Exchange is purposefully designed as a trauma-responsive, wraparound facility that addresses the root causes of poverty, mental illness, and spiritual disconnection.

We combine mental health care, workforce training, peer support, and faith-based guidance in one accessible space—intentionally structured to restore lives, not just occupy time. This model is not just a gathering place; it’s a launching pad for long-term transformation.

Barriers & Peer-Reviewed Insight from the National Institute of  Health...

  • Cost barriers: Affordability is the top barrier to mental healthcare
  • No knowledge of where to go: 95.6% faced, lack of provider access
  • Travel/access issues: Rural drives: ~26 min (any care), ~64 min (outpatient)
  • Wait times: Only 18.5% of psychiatrists accept new patients; waits are 43–67 days
  • Not seeking care: (“toughing it out”) cost concerns significantly reduce care-seeking
